Freedom Kits of Yakima
Freedom Kits sews some of the feminine hygiene kits that we use at Empower Playgrounds. Kits are sewn in the United States by Freedom Kit volunteers, then shipped over to West Africa to be donated to our schools.
Tough Light
Tough Light has provided the lanterns we use in our schools for many years. Their products are durable and reliable, both essential attributes for our lanterns that must survive rough conditions in rural West Africa.
Month by Month
Month by Month is a small group of volunteers located in Utah who sew and assemble reusable menstrual kits. We then ship them over to West Africa and donated at our schools.
Playworld Systems
Playworld Systems has provided our electricity generating merry-go-rounds since the beginning of Empower Playgrounds. They have been collaborative partners, working closely with us to make the exact merry-go-rounds we need.
Thames & Kosmos
Thames & Kosmos are the providers of some of the science kits we use in our schools. They are interactive kits that help students learn difficult concepts with hands-on learning.
Loose in the Lab
Loose in the Lab is another provider of some of our science kits used in our schools. Creative kits like these inspire hands-on learning and help students with STEM concepts.

Roberts Family Foundation
Since 2013, the Roberts Family Foundation has sponsored and supported projects with EPI. Their projects include boreholes, biofil toilets, school building construction, girls scholarships, libraries, and computer labs.
Our TEAMS, Inc.
Our TEAMS (Tailored Education through Accountability Mentoring), another non-profit organization, has sponsored a large classroom block and a teacher bungalow for the community of Mobia, reaching hundreds of students and teachers.
LDS Charities West Africa
Starting in 2026, LDS Charities partnered with us to help improve education in the West Africa area. So far, they have helped bring learning through science kits, merry-go-rounds, and menstrual hygiene kits.
Koforidua University
Koforidua University, a prominent college in Accra, Ghana, partnered with us to host our Empower STEM Day. We bus hundreds of students in from extremely rural areas to see the university and learn from professionals in the STEM industry.
Max Ocansey
Max, who lived in Ghana until he was 18 years old, partnered with us to improve the school in the village his family is from, Ocanseykope.
Alexis Omman
Alexis, a Mexican philanthropist/ influencer, partnered with us to bring light to the Apaah community. He donated a merry-go-round/lanterns and came to Ghana for the installation.
Moandemah Foundation
Located in Sierra Leone, the Moandemah Foundation has partnered with us to help distribute our reusable menstrual hygiene kits. They also assist with in country travel and school selection.
AICH
Action to Improve Community Health (AICH) is an organization located in Liberia that has partnered with us to help with our expansion into Liberia. They assist in country with the distribution of our reusable menstrual kits in schools.
Sanford Family
In June 2026, the Sanford Family traveled to Ghana to be part of the installation of the projects they sponsored, including a computer lab, library, and menstrual kit/science kit distribution.
Royal Women in Cinema Ghana
This organization partnered with us to put on our Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration, where we educate on menstrual health and distribute reusable menstrual kits.
Rotary Club Ghana
The Rotary Club, a worldwide organization, has partnered with us several times. They have helped provide students with computer, library books, and light through merry-go-rounds.
